Why I Put Coconut Oil in my Hair
Updated: Dec 2, 2019
I started putting Coconut Oil in my hair before I wash it, and it feels so much healthier.
Flashback to 1 month ago: I can't even remember the last time I got a haircut. My hair feels dead and damaged from putting it up all the time. Meanwhile, I do not want to cut it becuase I want it to be nice and long. The problem is that if I don't cut my hair, it is not going to grow...because it's dead.
I am obviously at a crossroad here. It seems like cutting my hair is my only option...
I decided to do what I do best: research. I read articles about how to revive my hair and watched Youtube videos of random girls who promised that they knew how to "magically" solve my problem. From all of my reasearch, I gained one common answer: Coconut Oil
I honestly wasn't surprised when I heard about using Coconut Oil for your hair. It's "oily" so it makes sense that it brings moisture back into your hair. It is also made of Vitamin E, which is known to improve hair growth and overall health.
I decided that I was going to try putting Coconut Oil in my hair. Before I showered, I scooped some Coconut Oil with a spoon and then put it in my hair. I made sure to put most of the oil in the ends of my hair and minimal amounts in the roots so they wouldn't get greasy. I scrubbed my hair hard enough that the oil was no longer in my hair anymore.
I could already notice the difference after trying it once. My hair was more shiny and already felt healthier. I now put Coconut Oil in my hair everytime I wash it, which is twice to three times a week. I believe that my hair has become a lot healthier since starting this, and I highly recommend trying this trick.
*DISCLAIMER: I am obvoiusly not a hair expert, but I found this to really work for me. Despite this, just because it works for me does not mean it will work for you...LMK how this works for you in the comments!
