Coffee Energy Balls

This recipe is adapted from Clean Eats and Treats and makes 12 energy balls. I’m not one for coffee, but I love these! The coffee grounds give it a nice little crunch, and it feels more like eating a dessert rather than a healthy snack.


  • 1 3/4 cup old fashioned oats slightly broken down in the blender

  • 1 cup all natural creamy peanut butter

  • 1/2 cup raw honey or agave

  • 1 scoop chocolate protein powder

  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder or cacao powder

  • 2-3 tbsp finely coffee grounds

  • Optional: 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips


  1. Combine all dry ingredients in bowl and mix until ingredients are well blended.

  2. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.

  3. Form dough into balls and set them on a parchment lined cookie sheet or storage container.

  4. Refrigerated for up to one week.
