I never want to eat something filling before a practice, but I know that I need to have some kind of energy in order to workout for long hours. This DIY no bake granola bar is the perfect pre-workout snack. It's so good that I eat it almost everyday, even when I don't have practice.
2 cups of rolled oats
1 cup of crushed pretzels
1/2 cup of peanut halves
1 cup of peanut butter
1/2 cup of honey
1 teaspoon of vanilla
1/2 cup of crasins
Optional: 1/2 cup of chocolate chips
Mix the oats, crushed pretzels, and peanut halves together in a large bowl.
In a different bowl, mix the peanut butter, honey, and vanilla until smooth. Pour the mixture over the dry ingredients in the large bowl and stir until combined.
Put the mixture into a pan (I usually do 9 x 9 but anything works) and freeze for 30 minutes.
Cut into bars and keep them is a freezer (I put them in a plastic bag).
