Sweet and Spicy Cauliflower Poppers

Hey everyone! It’s been a few weeks since I posted something, but I’ll make it up to you with one of my favorite dinner recipes. These cauliflower poppers are so good. I devoured them in about five minutes! This recipe is adapted from Something Nutritious. It yields 4-6 servings and takes 40 minutes to cook.


  • 1 medium head of cauliflower

  • 2 eggs, whisked

  • 2 cups whole wheat breadcrumbs seasoned with salt and pepper

  • 1 tbsp olive oil or cooking spray


  • 2 tbsp fruit sweetened apricot jam

  • 1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce

  • 1/4 cup water

  • 1 tbsp sesame oil

  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes

  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds

  • 1 tbsp minced garlic

  • 1 tsp cornstarch

  • Pinch of salt


  1. Preheat oven to 375 F.

  2. Cut up the cauliflower into florets, dip each in the egg and then in breadcrumbs, and place them on a parchment lined tray. Drizzle with olive oil.

  3. Bake on 375 for 35-40 minutes.

  4. Whisk together the sauce ingredients in a small bowl. Add it to a large pan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and stir in cauliflower. Cook for 2-3 minutes.

  5. Top with sesame seeds enjoy!
