Why I Actually Like Eating Healthy
Updated: Jul 21, 2019
Anyone who knows me know that I love dessert. And when I say love I mean LOVE. You're probably thinking: if she likes dessert so much, why would she decide to eat healthy all the time?
Flashback to three months ago
I was eating dessert every night and I felt absolutely terrible. I knew I was in good shape, but I didn't actually feel like it. Each morning I struggled to eat breakfast because I was bloated and still full from eating some kind of dessert the night before. I ate to eat, not as fuel for my body.
Not wanting to continue feeling like this, I decided to stop eating dessert and unhealthy snacks during the week. That meant no chocolate, no chips, no cookies. I would eat dessert in moderation as a treat on the weekends.
Within three days of following my new plan, I was miserable. I missed having dessert everyday and splurged on the weekend, feeling like I was back at square 1. But after a few weeks, I felt a lot better. I could eat breakfast now, and I was less tired and more focused during school. I am still following my healthy eating plan, and I've never felt better. It was definitely not an easy process, but it was worth it in the end. If you feel like I did three months ago, I would recommend following what I did. If you have any further questions, reach out to me in the contact page of the blog, and I will tell you more about my healthy eating!
